What's Been Going On At Relish?
Sara Woosencraft
Hey everyone! Wow, it’s been a long time since we’ve updated social media. Sorry about that! It’s been a bit of a year for the ladies at Relish. Read all about it:
First: THANK YOU to all of you who have shopped in-store and online at Relish this year! We have a lot of fun new merchandise and even more on the way. While product and shipping delays are still a challenge for vendors everywhere, we’re finally seeing some of our long-term “out-of-stocks” coming back post-pandemic. Just this week we received Microplane zesters for the first time in over a year! We also just hilariously received a Black Friday 2020 knife special… guess it’s a Father’s Day special now, LOL! At least the stuff is making its way here, guys. :)
You may be wondering what’s going on with Cooking Classes, or wondering why we’ve been so silent on social media. Very long story short… we had a death in the family this Spring which rocked us a bit. It took one of us out of commission for 3 months to focus on Executor duties, pack up and sell a house up north, etc. It’s been a bit of an ordeal since Relish is already a very small operation. Anyways, we’ve kept our attention on the brick-and-mortar store during this time, and had to move social media updates and all activities in the kitchen to the back burner for awhile. All that said, we’re getting a plan in place to re-open the kitchen in a meaningful and robust way very soon. We so appreciate your patience during this time. Nobody wants classes to come back more than us… it’s just taking a little longer than expected to return to normal.
Relish is very fortunate to have walked out of the pandemic relatively unscathed, unlike so many other small family businesses around the state. Yes, we’ve been quiet and haven’t been able to do too many classes yet in 2021, but now we hope you understand a little bit more of the reasoning behind that. Relish is doing great, and we’re not going anywhere! You’ll be hearing from us more regularly going forward.
Love to you all,
Jane and Sara
