Instructor: Elaine Jumes, certified Food For Life instructor
Class Type: Demonstration (approx. 2 hours long)
The road to Type 2 Diabetes does not have to be a one-way street. There is reason for hope! People who eat plant-based meals are less likely to ever develop diabetes, and for those who have diabetes, plant-based meals can help to improve blood sugar levels and prevent complications.
In this class, we’ll learn the latest science behind this approach, consider some simple ideas for getting started, sample delicious plant-based dishes and explore useful resources. Plant-based meals can be affordable, delicious and satisfying.
Relish is proud to partner with local PCRM instructor Elaine Jumes to bring the award-winning Food For Life program to Sheboygan. In this stand-alone class, you will learn strategies to help crush chronic diseases like diabetes.
This class will feature an interactive video, discussion, and the opportunity to taste plant-based dishes during a cooking demonstration.
